Seedco Awarded $998,000 grant to increase the number of children in government health insurance programs

In a recent press release, Seedco announced that the organization has won a $998,000 grant from the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. A national nonprofit organization that helps low-income people and communities move toward economic prosperity, Seedco will use the award to do outreach in  New York City, Atlanta and Memphis.The organization's outreach efforts will focus on increasing the number of children in low-income families enrolled in government health insurance programs.

The U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services used funding from the Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act (CHIPRA) which included funding for outreach. Seedco is one of the 69 other nonprofits and government agencies to receive grants which totaled $40 million nationally.
