Senator Tom Harkin, chairman of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee (HELP), is set to introduce a new bill later this year that would make Promise Neighborhoods a federally authorized program. Joining other organizations like PolicyLink and the Harlem Children’s Zone, the Center for the Study of Social Policy (CSSP) has signed on to the letter supporting the proposed legislation that would authorize "five-year, renewable grants, to help communities scale up their services and support for a new generation of educated workers."
PolicyLink is urging organizations to show their support for Senator Tom Harkin’s push for Promise Neigborhoods legislation by signing on to the letter. Click here to sign on.
