Summit Highlights Resources for Ex-offenders

Tomorrow, July 31st at 8:30am ET, the Department of Labor (DOL) is hosting a web-based summit focused on approaches supporting the re-entry of ex-offenders into the workforce. Participants will hear speakers discuss state and local approaches to re-entry, challenges to re-entry for special population and model programs from the business community.

This summit--Re-Entering Through Employment: A Comprehensive Approach to Reintegrating the Formerly Incarcerated--is an example of DOL's continued efforts to support the re-entry of ex-offenders. Recently, the Department awarded grants targeting the successful reintegration and development of individuals who have been involved with the criminal justice system.

This summit is a great resource for communities that may be struggling to find ways to support re-entry population. For more information and to sign up for the web-based summit, please click here.
