On November 29, the American Youth Policy Forum (AYPF) will be holding a
webinar highlighting strategies rural districts can use to build upon their unique strengths to help address the nation's dropout crisis. Entitled "Leveraging Local Resources: Promising Practices for Dropout Prevention and Recovery in Rural Districts," the webinar will share strategies used by Sussex County, Virgina to develop an early warning system as well as explore the Greater Central Texas Region's use of the Communities In Schools model.
The featured speakers include:
- Dr. Charles Harris III, Superintendent, Sussex County Public Schools;
- Richelle Hines, Data Specialist, Sussex County Public Schools;
- Mary Erwin Barr, Executive Director, Communities In Schools of Greater Central Texas.
