Webinar: The Promise of Universities in School Reform

On January 31, co-sponsors the Anchor Institutions Task Force, Netter Center for Community Partnerships, and Coalition for Community Schools at the Institute for Educational Leadership are hosting a webinar that will explore the variety of ways in which institutions of higher education can support efforts to strengthen schools and education systems. Entitled "The Promise of Universities in School Reform," the presentation will highlight case studies and examples presented in the latest issue of the Peabody Journal of Education.

Scheduled speakers include:
  • Dr. Ira Harkavy, Associate Vice President and Director, Barbara and Edward Netter Center for Community Partnerships, University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, PA) Dr. Henry Taylor, Founding Director, Center for Urban Studies, University of Buffalo (Buffalo, NY)
  • Dr. Mary Walsh, Department Director, Boston College Center for Optimized Student Support, Boston College (Boston, MA)
  • Dr. Robert Kronick, Director of University-Assisted Community Schools, University of Tennessee Knoxville (Knoxville, TN)
The webinar will take place on Friday, January 31, from 3:00 - 4:00pm EST.
