HUD Publishes Notice of Opportunity to Register for Sustainable Communities Application

HUD released a notice of 2010 Opportunity to Register and Other Important Information for Electronic Application Submission for the Sustainable Communities Planning Grant Program on April 8th. HUD published the notice to provide potential applicants with information about the multi-week time frame for the registration requirements that must be met before an application can be submitted. The notice also contains the application procedures that will be part of the the NOFA itself when it is published. The notice indicated that the application for Sustainable Communities opens on April 8th and closes on May 14th. Most significantly, the notice requires organizations interested in applying for the Sustainable Communities Planning Grant Program to call the HUD NOFA Information Center as soon as possible. The NOFA Information Center can be reached by dialing at 1-800-HUD-8929. A HUD staff person will ask for your organization name and address, contact name, email, and telephone number, including area code.
