The 23 finalists in the Investing
in Innovation (i3) grant competition have secured
$18 million in private donations. With
only four weeks between the announcement of finalists and the deadline for
private donations, all 23 finalists acquired the donations needed to meet the grant’s
matching requirement and are officially eligible to receive part of the $150
million in i3 grants. This financial
support from foundations, philanthropists, corporations and individuals will
aid each of the i3 grantees as they strive to create innovative strategies that
will improve student achievement.
