2014 AmeriCorps Indian Tribes Grants Available

The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) is currently accepting applications for FY 2014 AmeriCorps Indian Tribes Grants. These particular grants are intended to engage AmeriCorps members - individuals who commit to completing community service in one of many approved positions across the country - in evidence-based interventions to improve Native American communities.

The latest round of AmeriCorps Indian Tribes Grants will be made to address six focus areas:
  • Disaster Services;
  • Economic Opportunity;
  • Education;
  • Environmental Stewardship;
  • Healthy Futures;
  • Veterans and Military Families.
Applicants must be either a federally-recognized Indian Tribe or tribal organization.   

Applications must be submitted no later than Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 5:00pm ET. Successful applicants are expected to be notified by June 20, 2014.
